There are a whole host of reasons why people decide to make their home at Cedar Lodge.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For some people, it\u2019s the reassurance that you\u2019re in an environment where help is available 24 hours a day. Others like how a team of staff can take care of your cleaning, cooking and laundry, so you can enjoy a better quality of life. Whereas for others, the social company that care brings helps to combat loneliness.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But for whatever reason you\u2019re considering care, we appreciate it\u2019s a big step. It\u2019s perfectly understandable that you\u2019d like to test the waters before moving in full time.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That\u2019s why we offer the opportunity to book day care. Day care is exactly as you would expect – you pop in at some point in the day, stop by for a few hours to enjoy the company of other residents and the service of our staff, before leaving the care home in the evening.<\/p>\n

Our application for day care is similar to how you would enquire for a full-time room at Cedar Lodge. To begin with, we would ask that you contact us for a chat about the type of care you\u2019re looking for, so we can assess whether we can meet your needs. We would then invite you to pop by to Cedar Lodge for a show round so you can meet us all. Our show rounds offer you the perfect opportunity to see if you like the home and if you would like to visit us more frequently. If you would like to come for day care, we would ask you to fill out a few forms to help tailor our service and then you can book in your day care by the week.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We typically reserve 1-2 slots for day care at any given time, so if we are oversubscribed at the time of your enquiry, please don\u2019t be disheartened. As we can always put you on a waiting list until space comes available. Pending room availability, we also offer respite care for short breaks in our care home. These are bookable for a minimum stay of 1 week, with prices available on demand.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Not at all. We aim to accommodate however much time that you\u2019d like to spend with us. This could be as little as 1 hour a fortnight. Or it could be 10AM-6.30PM every day. The decision is yours and we are flexible if you would like to adjust the amount of day care you book over time. All we ask is that you book in with us at least one week in advance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Our day care charges are based on a sliding scale. If you are booking between 1-10hrs of day care a week, we charge \u00a320 per hour. If you are booking 10hrs+ of day care a week, we charge \u00a315 per hour. These prices remain the same irrespective of your care needs. We aim to bill day care residents at the end of each month. Payments can be made by cheque or bank transfer.<\/p>\n
