Cedar Lodge was delighted to recently host our summer fete – the first to take place since the start of the pandemic.
With visiting restrictions sadly imposed on the care home throughout the past two years, it was a wonderful feeling for our residents and staff to welcome friends, families and well wishers into Cedar Lodge once more.
We extended the invitation to the whole community – and we loved seeing old faces (and some new ones!) pop by from Offenham and nearby villages to join in the festivities.
Many individuals had not seen Cedar Lodge since our recent refurbishment and residents relished showing their loved ones around their home.
We danced to all our favourite songs played by the talented Kevin Spittle, enjoyed fish & chips, and perused classic fete stalls manned by the Cedar Lodge staff in the sun.

Our summer raffle drawn at the event also raised a phenomenal £700! All proceeds have gone to the residents fund, which will finance the trips and activities residents would like to do. We couldn’t have raised such a sum without everyone who came to the summer fete and purchased a ticket. We would like to offer you all a huge thank you for your generosity and for such a wonderful day.
We hope to run more fetes and community events throughout the year and look forward to welcoming everyone back to Cedar Lodge very soon.
