A Special Visit from Miniature Ponies at Cedar Lodge Care Home Evesham
An ordinary day transformed into an extraordinary one when two miniature ponies trotted into our care home in Evesham. Named Lollipop and Tinkerbelle, these gentle creatures eagerly greeting each resident with their sweet demeanour. It was a wonderful sight to see.
The ponies were small and amiable. They seemed to really understand the role they played in bringing happiness and comfort to our residents.
The presence of these ponies sparked joy and conversation, invoking fond memories and shared stories among the residents. For those who came from farming communities, it was a nostalgic reminder of their past experience with animals. While for others, it was a novel and delightful new encounter.

Interaction with animals has been shown to reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood, and even enhance social interaction. Our residents were visibly happier!
